COMPUTER SCIENCE INTERDEPT CRICKET CHAMPIONS


it was an amazing day of cricket for me.... i have numerous no of matched for my coll cricket team and wit my lovely talented cricket team guys.... we have won many tournaments... but d biggest achievement till now is d bronze medal we got in this yr zonals.... zonals no one can forget tat... but all r past... back to d present... i have already mentioned that i luv my cricket team guys...but to seem them in d opposite team is bit tough... i faced t today.... it bcos of inter dept cricket match.... we were five in no from my dept from cse... but all my frnds were in other depts.. first match we played wit civil... no one is from my coll cricket team in civil dept..... so it was no pressure for me........as we were against arch rivals... we played like practice match...we won simply.... no panic noting..... easily we got through... days went we were so tensed bout next match against EEE dept.... the big thing s tat our coll team star batsman muralidharan ( mulli) s in tat dept... they actually feared bout our team.....neva mind cos we started as favourites ... we were frnds til d toss..... but after d toss i can see tir really anger on dir faces tat they want to beat us.... really i was amazed to see them like tat... as usual lot of chanting and lot of controversies... worst appealing , worst behavior in field.....t hpd in front of my eyes.... it was like a india pak match... d heat moment of d match was " appeal made for an run out" they were over appealing nd i got tensed i shouted at them....oh my gudness even i scolded my gud frnds inside d field.... but all s well tat ends well. we won d match comfortably.... i played my part....thanks to late heroics frm our master blaster sri.... sri played an unusual innings today scoring 20 runs in all singles...he hit a boundary just for d winning runs....well played sri... we want more innings like tis... hmmm i forgot to mention .... arvind ( pani puri) we call him like tat.... he took 3 wickets in tis match tat three wickets turned d tables for us... vivi was ordinary in his bowling as well as in his batting... one ting first match ever i scored more runs today than vivi....[lolz] next match big final..... ece vs cse

we won d toss nd we decided to bowl first...
its a brave decision to do tat ....cos we had our coll cricket team hitters in tat team...
big guys..... we cal them motto nd pingo...

if they bat togethr it wil be a treat to watch as vivi nd sri plays....

first four overs we had d upper hand....just 11 runs from our young lads...
next d big flop vivi bowld a hell of a spell.... i never saw bowling like tis...
it hpd bcoz mostly d guys who were in ece dept ... r coll cricket players...
so he was too friendly wit them....tat i didnt like t
mood out totally , :( i didnt give a single byes before two matches but cos of him i decided not to put my full effort ....result four byes....
i was down at tat time...
but d thing s vivi came straight to me nd askd wat s d problem. i told him tat ... i shouted him also
.. but a sign of very gud captain.... he kept his mouth shut and after sometime he spoke to me politely ....dude i never played under such a wonderful captain....
really ham lucky to share d bench wit u guys.....sri , vivi, pani puri., motto , pramod,mulli,venki,vaidi :)

hmmm neva mind we got 94 as target...
first ball douglas faced gone.... middle stump uprooted..
den i went ... i had a game plan in my mind....tat if i bat for ten balls also i should score atleast ten to twenty runs....
it clicked actually .... my carte blanche members gave me g8 support.... i thrashed three boundaries...it helped my team to a flying start...
den motto came to bowl...i thought of blockin him in his first over ...but wat hpd
first ball terrific inswinger... clueless clean bowled....

first time i felt so bad tat i got out wh i was in good nick....
cha ... but neva mind.... stil sri s dir i went hapily inside...
den its all formalities they finished wit ease...
vivi got a fine half century...only half century in d whole tournamnt....
cse rocked...
our dept cricket team .... cse winners we rocked d whole ground
my best day in my cricket life.... i wont forget tis day in my life....

highlights :
arvind took 8 wickets totally in d whole series
we lost only 7 wickets in three matches
we won by chasing in all matches
sri not out two times scored totally above fifty runs
sri took 4 wicket in three matches
i took 6 catches two stumping totally
i scored totally 30 runs in two matches....
vivi scored only half century of d series...
he took totally 5 wickets....
totally carte blanche rocked
